Pink Atlas

New acquisition this week, a Vintage Pink Atlas Sewing Machine. I've been looking for a pink machine for a while. I have a blue Morse that also comes in hot pink, but I haven't been able to locate one of those. I saw an ad on Craigslist for this machine for $30.00 and couldn't resist. I really need to start taking before and after pictures. The machine itself wasn't too bad, but the wiring...yikes. I couldn't believe someone would actually use this machine with the way it was wired. The wires coming out of the motor were rotted and broken and the wires coming out of the cord block were spliced to two different kinds of wires, one being a three-wire cord that looked like it came off an old vacuum cleaner. Scary! So after rewiring, replacing the cord block and cleaning, it's ready to be used and it's so quiet. Oh, and it has it's pink foot pedal too!
